Day 1: Belgrade

Arrival in Belgrade, meeting and assistance at the airport. Belgrade city tour. Sightseeing of Belgrade. Visit to Kalemegdan Park and Belgrade Fortress, the remains of the ancient city of Singidunum. Visit to the Orthodox Cathedral (Saborna crkva), built in 1837-1840 by order of Knez Miloš Obrenovic. dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel. Visit to the largest Orthodox Church dedicated to St. Sava founder of the Orthodox Church. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 2: Fruška Gora - Krušedol - Sremski Karlovci - Novi Sad

After liturgy visit of the north of Serbia and drive through the idyllic Vojvodina plain. Visit to Fruska gora mountain with wooded hills alongside the river Danube. Famous for its vineyards and seventeen monasteries from 15th and 16th century. Sightseeing of historical and art monuments: Patriarchate, the Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, Upper and Lower Church, Roman Catholic Church, the Regional Museum, the First Grammar School as of 1790 and a famous historical Peace Chapel. Visit to the famous wine cellars. Lunch in the restaurant. Novi Sad- Visit to the Greek school, Old Matica Srpska Library and Gallery, the Orthodox Cathedral with its famous iconostasis (1742-1880) and medieval history scenes by the great Serbian painter Paja Jovanovic, St. Nicolas, Almaska and the Church of Assumption and Beljanski Memorial The Petrovaradin Fortress l. Transfer to Belgrade. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 3: Monastery of Ovčar Kablar - Mećavnik

Within a narrow geographical region, in the Zapadna Morava river gorge, there lies a large group of monasteries, referred to popularly as the “Serbian Holy Mountain”. Most of the monasteries were built during the period of Turkish rule. To the left of the Zapadna Morava, beneath Kablar, are the monasteries of Blagoveštenje, Ilinje, Nikolje, Uspenje i Jovanje, while beneath Ovčar are Sretenje, Sveta Trojica, Preobraženje, Vaznesenje and Vavedenje. Over time, many of the monasteries have been altered and restored. Drive to Mećavnik, ethno village from famous movie director Emir Kusturica. Dinner and overnight in beautiful traditional rooms.

Day 4: Mileševa monastery - Morača monastery - Podgorica

After breakfast in the hotel, departure for a tour through the picturesque countryside of western Serbia, to the Mileševa monastery. It was built by a medieval king Vladislav Nemanjić. The church is especially famous for its fresco paintings, which are among the greatest masterpieces of Europe in the Middle Ages. Drive to Morača monastery. One of the largest medieval Orthodox monuments in Montenegro. It was built on the right bank of the River Morača, in the wider part of the canyon, on a natural plateau with a picturesque landscape. The monastery’s sanctuary was built in 1252 by Stefan, son of King Vukan. Dinner and overnight in Podgorica.

Day 5: Cetinje-Lovćen-Monastery Ostrog

Breakfast in the hotel. Full day excursion to Cetinje, Lovcen,village of Njeguši and town of Kotor. Cetinje - King Nicola's Palace and Monastery of Cetinje where is kept relic - hand of St. John Baptist. From Cetinje road leads to NP Lovćen where is mausoleum of Njegoš built at very top of this mountain to which lead innumerable staircase. Drive to Ostrog monastery. Monastery Ostrog, a miracle built by nature and human interaction, carved almost in its entirety in a vertically positioned mountain cliff. It is one of three most visited Christian destinations on the planet. Return to Podgorica Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 6: Sopoćani-Djurdjevi Stupovi - St. Peter's and Paul church - Novi Pazar

Drive to the Sopoćani Monastery and visit of the complex. Sopoćani Monastery built in the 13th century by the successful Serbian King Uroš I Nemanjic, during whose reign intensive development of mining and trade in the country begun. Became part of UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979 and it is part of Transromanica Cultural Route. The Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, also known as Petrova Crkva (Peter’s Church) is among the oldest medieval religious properties in Serbia built around 10th century Dinner and night in Novi Pazar.

Day 7: Žiča monastery - Studenica monastery - Belgrade

After breakfast drive to Studenica Monastery complex. Studenica monastery was established in the late 12th century by Stefan Nemanja, founder of the medieval Serb state. It is the largest Orthodox monastery in Serbia. Žiča monastery - Endowment of the King Stevan Prvovencani, built in the early 13 th century. Žiča became the centre of the first independent Serbian Archbishopric with the first archbishop St Sava. Seven Serbian kings were crowned in Žiča. Dinner and overnight in Belgrade.

Day 8: Departure home

After breakfast check out. Transfer to airport
